G'Day all Bowlers,
No doubt you will join me in wishing Kelvin all the best of luck in the Welsh Open!!!! A Little write up below!!!
South Tweed’s Kelvin Kerkow will return to one of his favourite coliseums on Monday attempting to snap an uncharacteristic cold streak.
With the Wales Open due to commence in Cardiff tomorrow, Kerkow, a three-time former champion, will be desperate to return to the winners’ list having endured a lean singles season on the World Bowls Tour (http://www.worldbowlstour.com/).
Best of luck Kelvin mate:wink:
Skippy,
If the Aussies are so good at Bowls why to Northern Hemisphere bowlers win the Indoor World Bowls Singles!!!!???????????????????????

G'Day Sony,
It's all a matter of perception, trouble with you Poms you build up failure till the next test, Football, Rugby,Swimming etc etc but compared to the big boys in the WORLD you don't measure up these days, you've go more foreign players playing your domestic games than Poms, so when you pick your National team, WHAT CHANCE HAVE YOU GOT.
Now back to Bowls, This Summers Singles WORLD RANKING;

Where are THE POMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!
The Money ain't there for most of the big boys to bother with that little Tournament???????????????????????????????????????? ?????????
Hi Skippy,
Understand your point, use to follow a bit of English football years ago then as it became 'who can by the best international players' changed to rugby & lost all interest in football, trouble know Rugby is or has gone the same way which is crystal clear when it comes to international matches we have a pathetic pool to choose from.
Then grossly overpay them so they can make complete a*** of themselves!!!!!
Still bowling with the lack of money is still a bit National.

Hey Skippy we poms are good at somethings. We've got a bigger population the you in Oz.
Mind you thats because we have let the Country become full of scroungers from parts foreign.
Especially around Earls Court London.

G'Day Umpire,
Got to say Kelvin is losing the plot!! good on him with that commitment coming home after the World bowls then travel back again to the Welsh open, had a feeling if he could have got through the early rounds to let the body settle down he had a chance, seen highlights on our cable network!!
Funny old thing all the Poms over here that have settled moan about the immigration and change to society as a big reason for 'IMMIGRATING' yo Australia!!! We have our own 'Kings Cross' over here guess we have a lot in common!
Weather great for bowling temp back to norm, great after shift a competitive game at the club then a nectar or 2:wink:

Afternoon Skippy, why did he go all the way home and back. We watched him go out of the competition and when he said that he was going home I said to my Wife ( better bowler than me ) that he was off to some big money earner in the Oz sunshine. There must be something in Wales that he likes.

Umpire, Big money is O.Z. these days, I also wonder why Kelvin puts himself through it, clip from local paper
Port Macquarie City Bowling Club, on the
mid North Coast of New South Wales, has just
announced almost $86,000 in prizemoney in
two prestige tournaments to be played in 2009.
Thats about £45,000 in you money!!!:cool:
You're in the wrong continent,
Kelvin came home then back to you because hes a big family man!!
Bit refreshing these days
Morning Skippy,
Seems to have gone a bit quiet from O.Z. land hope Kelvin had a good trip home. Can't understand why he would want to travel all this way to enter our little competitions when there is so much money to win without the traveling costs?????
Hope the bowling is going well and our U K holiday makers bowling out in O Z aren't winning too much Aussie cash!!!!!!!!!!!!:wink:

G'Day Sony,
Nearly as funny as Umpire, who seems to be hibernating!!!,
You can sure blue, the Poms we give great hospitality & they love the banter!!!
Truth is they do whinge a lot and nearly always lose in the 1st round , But come back for more!!!!!!
When you look at the so called qualifiers & where all the qualifiers come from, well the U K cause all qualifying rounds are based there.
Now outdoor World Bowls is worldwide and draws bowlers in numbers from All over the world, but then thats life!!:D
