World Bowls

Hi All
Watching the world bowls competition on TV this week and all I keep saying is WOW. Fantastic to watch I was on the edge of my seat today. Well not really as I was watching it and doing the ironing- but you know what I mean. Only thing is so little coverage on TV and the highlights at 20 past 12 in the night. Us bowlers need our beauty sleep!

When you see the coverage given to darts, snooker etc its not fair that Bowls gets so little. I am very new to bowls and would like to be able to see more of it on the tele.

I also love watching Bowls but as you say there is not enough of it on the tele would give anything to be able to Bowl like those Guys they get within inches I think I'm good and my Bowls are a couple of feet away.
People see Bowls as an Old Persons Sport, they couldn't be more wrong when you join outdoors after 21ends in all weather you realize how fit you need to be,
Have you tried out any Different Bowls yet the sort you get will depend on which position you want to play,

:DOnly Just Noticed you had Joined us on the Forum Rosabel, its one of the best things I have ever done when I went down to our Local Club,
Its not only the game its the Social side we have Barbecues in the Summer, Flood Lit Bowls and some great night with entertainment,

Every time I put on the television its Football Rugby etc everything except Bowling
What a treat to watch some amazing Bowling did tape it and have been trying out how they deliver their woods it seems so effortless I'm alway hanging on to mine trying to hold them back Indoors,

Still haven't mastered the smooth delivery or getting close to the Jack

Hi Rosabel know what you mean about them putting the Bowling Highlight on at this late hour,
Must think us so Called Old Bowlers can spend all night staying up to watch it and spend the rest of the morning in Bed,
