Just played a pairs game when the rain started my opponent stated that we could not continue and that we could play next Saturday, because it was the only day he was available, did I have a choice about this, he was the challenger.

Think you have the right to challange this, a date which is right for everyone has to be agreed, you also have to agree to abondon the game, will ask around about this one, just to make sure i am giving you the right information, good luck when you play again.:rolleyes:

You have every right to object if someone tries to stop a game, only the greenkeeper can say the green is unplayable, because of rain, and they must agree a date which is suitable for both teams, not just tell you when you are playing the game again.:(

Played against some twit today, who used every trick in the book to wind me up, measured the jack length so many time it was ridiculous, not one of them was wrong, kept going to the loo think there was something wrong with her, then tried telling me my lead was foot faulting, was I steaming
glad there wasn't a swear box around did a lot of muttering under my breath, just thought I would explain my outburst.

Hi Angel, this is a load of rubbish, one player can't just decide he doesn't want to continue because the weather gets bad, bet he was loosing, anything to change the game, this is not right, stand your ground if it happens again.

Yes this doesn't seem right to me. At my club it's up to the match commitee to stop a game or not and it would only be completely stopped if it was heavy rain. Then we would play on the next allocated day as stated in our club programme, or a day aggreed between the 2 of us.

Hi Sam, if you have time go down to your bowls club by yourself or with a mate and just have some practice. I find this helps me lots;)
