Have been thinking lately about getting some new bowls.
For the last 13 years I have been playing with Henselite Masters size 4 Heavy, with dimples.
Earlier this new I got them re-tested and re-biased etc, but I've been thinking it's time for a change.
The bowls I have been thinking about are Henselite ABT-evo, which seem to be a narrow bowl - a lot more narrow than my current bowl.
I was wondering does any one here have any or have any experience about them? thanks

Have just heard about these Henselite ABT-evo not sure they are available in the uk, could probally order them, have played with dream line indoors, and they hold a really tight line but with a curve, shall try and get hold of a set to see how they play, let you know.:):)

Have not come across these woods yet, must be pretty new,our greens are really heavy at the beginning of the seasion, a lot of people are playing with tiger twos, which hold a really tight line, i expect your greens get pretty fast with a wide swing, am going to look these woods up on the net.:rolleyes:

Hi just found the site for these woods on the net, would like to talk to someone who has used them, before paying out so much money on a new set, i like to have a roll up with woods i have heard about, made so many mistakes when buying new woods, think its me not the woods, that play badly.:(:(

Just had a look at these new Heneslite ABT evo looks like they take a narrower line than the dream line or tiger twos, if they are better in wet and windy weather, i shall definately, give them a try I have a lot of trouble, holding and controlling the woods, my hands are just too small, i have at least six gloves, can not find the price.

Thinking about changing my woods, they are fine on fast greens, and take a wide swing, but at the beginning of the season the green is heavy, and i end up being short, these straight wood do have an advantage but what do they play like when the green gets fast, be intersted to hear from someone who has played with them.

No one at my club has them, but some have the ABT-2000's which these bowls are I think replacing? And they bowl well on our fast greens.
But I'm going to try and find someone who's got some and see if they will let me try them. I have seen on trademe some used Abt -evo's going for around $350NZ, but think I would prefer to buy new.

Just logged on, be interesting to see how people get on with these woods, been a lot of muttering about straight woods usually when someone is losing, decided its not the woods which are at fault its me.. ;)

The top singles bowler at my club who plays with ABT 2000's and has won the 2008 Auckland Champ of Champ Singles.
He also won the Champ Pairs at our club and his partner also plays with ABT 2000's also.
So I have been thinking about these bowls also:confused:

Just had a look on the net, think this could be my kind of wood, like something with a bit of swing but with a narrow line as well, like the classic twos, might have a look at these, not playing so well lately, mind cant keep blaming the woods and the green, guess it could be me.:(:(:(
