Sixteen on Committee

Hi Everyone have only just found out that our Club is going to have a Mixed Committee of Sixteen, anyone who holds a position goes on automatically with one playing member voted on,
Do you think this is too many people the lenght of time of meetings is going to be intersting if everyone has their say,
Its going to be an Intersting Year not sure if this is going to be for the better,

Out of Interest how many are on Committee at your Club.

Don't think that 16 is too many for a committee as you never get 100% turnout, trouble is if you get a dominant constantly talking and non listener as a member you will quickly get a lot of apologies!!!

My club has 9 on the committee which is a good representation of a membership of 90 (10% on committee), they find its not to big to reach in general good decisions!!

Only thing I can say is some on Committee like to hear the their own voice's can some of these people are so Boreing
They think if they talk enough people will give up and let them have their way,

Couldn't have put it better myself, thats what I do Z Z every AGM With a Large Gin to get me through, what we need is one of those bells that ring when their time is up,

Got our AGM next week be interesting to see what changes are going to happen now that we are Amalgamated,

We have one Particular Bowler on Committee who can talk for England I take a cushion with me now, going to be a long night.

committee, a cushion would not be big enough!!!!

Hi, there's 12 at my new club and we have a membership of 70

Sounds like a good Club Kiwi bowler not too large a membership always think the bigger the Clubs the more problems they have,
Do like some of the solutions on how to stop people talking too long not sure if its Legal might get into a bit of trouble:p but have been tempted on occasions,
