Good to know that players can no longer run half way up the green and stand in your eye line, played in singles last year, and one particular Bowler, kept talking to the marker and spectators is this legal, or can i ask them to stop, very off putting, and i am sure made a impact on my game, lost the plot, lost the game.:confused:

Not sure about this one, would have to get the rule book out, think if its interfering with your game you could complain, will try to find out for you, could be a gray area.:confused:

Had a look in the rule book for you, it does not say anything about talking to the marker, but any person who marks should know not to talk when you are going to deliver a bowl, Players should not talk to spectators, and if you think it is disrupting the game you can complain, if people have to stoop to tactics to win, its a bad show:(:(

Had a lovely day bowling, pity people can't play games, without this sort of behaviour, seen some nasty tactics myself,a few people have to win at all costs.:confused:

Been very busy lately, most of the club have been on tour, do not want to think about tacitcs, will get it soon enough, when we start to play our games, I know a really good team who have won national fours, they do an awful lot of shouting, good shot, thats brilliant, every wood that comes up the green is great, its not till you start to watch where the woods are finishing, that you begin to understand, they talk the opposition team into defeat, they are really good bowlers, but they too can have bad games, but it is a brilliant tactic, and works an awful lot of times, puts the other team off, and they start to try too hard.:rolleyes:

Hard to ignore the opposition talking to the marker, can not find anything in the rule book might come in under disrupting the game, I think you should just ask the marker not to talk, when you are on the mat ready to bowl, if you do this early in the game, he will get the message, and perhaps take note for other games. :(:(

Just hate bowlers who do this sort of thing, if they are not good enough to win honestly, they should give up the sport, or be banned.

yes you can complain to the umpire when you are in possession of the rink who and being annoyed or distracted in any way by your opponent. The umpire will warn the offending player on the first occasion etc.
