trouble with skip a new bowler

Nice to have a site for bowlers, have just started to bowl and was really enjoying the sport, should have taken it up years ago, I was getting along fine but I have just been given a new skip, who for some reason seems to get really agitated, and starts shouting, when I have wayward woods, I really am trying hard, but the more she shouts, the more my game goes, have started dreading going to the club, what should I do if this is not resolved, I might consider giving up which would be a shame. Nervous beginner.

Hey there Barry - to be honest with you I wouldn't worry about it. Ive been bowling with loud and obnoxious people for the past 12 years - my secret is just to out bowl them! Bide your time then out perform!

Thanks for the advice, I think I shall just have to try and ignore it, and practice like mad, would be great if I could out bowl her, I think some people have a personality change when they play skip, would love to shout up the rink, your not doing anything either, but I think I would be sent to outer Siberia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
