View Full Version : Anyone else had this problem
Bought a pair of the New Comfit Bowls Shoes at the beginning of the Season, thought they were great,
But they smell dreadful, I keep washing them and taking the insoles out they star fresh for a day, next time I open my Bowls Bag the smell would knock you down,
Never had a problem with any of my other Bowling Shoes and don't understand why this is happening,
Haven't got this problem with my casual shoes, has anyone else had a problem with this particular Make

Have been wearing my old Bowling shoes for a while now, and have had no problem with them, I have been tempted to invest in a new pair for Next year
Unless I hear different I will stay clear of the New Comfits Bowls Shoes, they look good but there is nothing worse than something smelling in the Bowls bag,
Bad enough finding the old moldy Cloth and the squashed banana from last week
Don't need any smelly Bowling Shoes

Hi Sam (short for Samantha)
Are you sure its the shoes!!!!! only joking?
Need to remember that these shoes etc are made all of the world so you probably have some substandard insoles with dodgy rubber. Suggest you throw the insoles away and buy a decent pair, washing the insoles can make they smell even more!!!!!:(

Ive always washed my Bowling Shoes with the insoles inside, think there was a program on television a while back about some make of sports
shoes that had this problem, and the company wouldn't do any refunds, might be worth asking around

Hi Sam,
I also have a pair of Comfit shoes and worn them for about 3 years, no problems with smells etc!!!!!!!!
You have a substantial pair of insoles, or it's something else!!!!!!

Hi all you Bowlers thanks for your replys most helpful,
Have come to the conclusion its not the shoes that are at fault Its me, The Comfit shoes I have are quite heavy like a pair of ordinary trainers and don't have the small holes like some of the other Bowling Shoes,
They are great in wet weather as your feet keep nice and dry but with no circulation getting in when its warm, well you can guess the rest,
Am going to keep these shoes for the beginning of the Season when its cold and wet, and go back to the old ones that are lighter and have the holes in,
Also bought a few pairs of odor eaters and some spare insoles, Hopefully the problem is solved, was sure my team mates were giving me odd looks and did wonder when I was offered some foot spray:oops:

Hi Sam,
With those shoes and your feet I would stick to singles, could even be a new tactic to put the opposition off, if you know what I mean!!!!!!!!!!!:D
Funny you should say that, they think there must be some new fertilizer on the green.
Ha Ha very funny ROO:D:rolleyes:
