Hi I'm new to the site.I bowl in Aberdeen,Scotland. I usually play skip at my club and play with yellow Taylor Aces size 4H.Am not playing indoors but should be getting into our local club this winter.

Thank you for the welcome Barbie and yes the bowling is going ok we play our last league game this Friday which just leaves us with various finals to play and a couple of friendlies and a couple of invitationals.Then it will be on to the indoor which should be fun as i haven't played indoors for 4 years.The season seems to have flown bye this year.Wish we had the weather here to play outside all year round.:)

You're very brave playing with light colored woods , I play lead and mine are black and a lot of the time I'm short, epically if its raining which was today,
We are coming to the end of the Competitions but have put my name down for some tournaments,
I play indoors in the Winter takes me a good couple of weeks to get the weight, its nice to welcome someone new to the Formum,

I prefer coloured woods makes it easier to see my own bowls in the head.Have had people say they make a target but that doesn't bother me -they still have to play the shot!:)

Good to Welcome you to World Bowler, It doesn't matter what Color the Woods are you still got to hit them,
Should know Ive been trying long enough, some days You can do anything next day you would think you have never Bowled before,
Think thats why I keep trying,

Do love to see all the Colored Bowls on the green, makes it easier for me to pick out the opposition, or team mates

Problem is I don't seem to be able to hit anything Colored or otherwise, am going back to get some coaching trying to sort out a few problems

with the delivery
