Came home last nigh and could just about put one foot in front of another,We Played the Two Wood County Pairs, started Nine O'Clock and finished half seven in the Evening,

We were told that we would have to play four games My partner is in her Seventies, this in not a competition anymore more like a marathon,
She did battle on but I was so worried she was going to collapse

Bowls England should do something about this, Four Games is too many in one day,

Hi Jean

I dont know why they insist on playing this number of games, considering the age range of some of the Ladies,
Its no wonder we are finding members no longer enter these competitions
I thought they had changed the rules on the number of games played in one day

I have got to the stage where I am not enjoying Bowling, these long days with too many games squashed in its too much like hard work,Played

the Club two wood singles yesterday first two games were fine, but the third I lost the plot,So spent another wasted day, came home feeling grumpy and tired,

Hi Sam,

No easy answer to this one especially the 2 woods competition.

In my area the men have moved from playing on a day competition to play by dates.

The play by dates get a lot more entries but the downside is that it is a lot of traveling and arranging for a quick game of 2 woods!!!!

Still like everything in bowls there is no easy answer!!

I'm sure we were only allowed to play two games and then come back the next day,
Could be the rules for two wood pairs are different than the fours, I do think four games of any sort is too many, you need just as much consternation and walking up the green to the head,
This could be one of the Subjects brought up in discussions with Bowls England
