View Full Version : Trouble Makers
We have been told by a reliable source that a ( Certain Bowler ) is going to apply to join our Club,
We already have had Bowlers from this Club who moved because this Person is causing so much upset and trouble,
We have a very nice friendly Club do we need someone who is a trouble maker,
Its causing a rift already with some people saying we cant afford not have new members, and others saying they will leave if this Person joins
Anyone else got this problem ???

Hello Sam,
Sorry to hear of your concern, this is not a new problem but has always been around. Trouble today people are so busy they just don't have the patience with one another and little things become big issues when years ago people would just shrug their shoulders and get on with it.
In recent times when a couple of alleged trouble makers applied to join our great club there were so many objections that the committee refused the applications. Don't really agree with this approach in our lovely game of Bowls but it did work!!!!!
You never know that the person you are worried about might not be that bad but could have her name smeared by the real trouble maker, which you do get!!!!
Enjoy your bowling,

Take advice from someone who knows, had a couple join they seemed fine at first, It started off when he got onto Committee and he caused no end of trouble if he didn't get his own way,
Ended up splitting the Club and we lost nearly half our members to Other Clubs,
If you know someone is like this I would take steps to refuse them membership, why bring trouble in
Definite No to letting Trouble Makers into your Club
Hi All,
Have a concern that when people move clubs and keep moving is it good for the Game.
A very good friend of mine left our club then after that had 2 other Clubs.
In the end he realized 'it was him' and has gone FULL circle and back at our Club.
I think Clubs need to have a good think when people move Club and has to be for the right reasons. IF THE FELL OUT WITH SOMEONE AT THE CURRENT CLUB YOU CAN BET THEY WILL FALL OUT AT THE NEW CLUB!!!!
It's the time of year when bowlers get a bit tired and these things happen.
