Neutral Green

Have gotten through to a Final, and my opponent has to offer me dates and a Neutral Green,
She belongs to two Clubs but only plays for one she joined the other one to keep hubby company,
If she offers me the green at the Club where she doesn't bowl, can I refuse to play there,
No body seems to know

I would say that if she is a member of a club it cannot be regarded as neutral

Hi The Umpire,

Do you know if there is a National ruling on choice of rink??

I played a County Competition which was a play by date, turned up at the challengers 'Green', only one rink was set out, I asked for a choice, they completely refused and had to play on the pre selected rink!!

Theres home advantage and 'a stitch up', many of my club members say they have always given a choice because they thought it was Bowls etiquette but is there a rule covering this??
It just creates bad feeling that should not be in our game!!

Thanks E. T.

Hi Everyone

My Opponent has had the card through, and I had a phone call today she has given me a choice of the two greens,
It doesn't say anything about a neutral green on the card, only its got to be a County Association approved green,
Have said I will play on her home green, I know its a tricky green I am hoping I will be the best Bowler on the day

You never know this is the Final the winner will go to Lemington, wish me luck Friends going to need it,

She is going to phone tomorrow with dates and times will let you all know how I get on,

Hi Barbie

That goes from me to, Best of luck you go win , would love to see you go to Lemington,
I find the greens have gone really tricky with this warm weather have been putting more jacks and woods into the ditch that I have ever done before,
Lets hope you get a bit of rain before your match, it would slow the green down a bit and give it a bit more grip

Let us know how you get on

Good evening ET, like a number of people I am not sure on the answer to your question.

Why not e-mail Bowls England and ask, I have found them very helpful in the past and in fact about to ask t6hem a question of my own.:p
