Good Evening Everyone
Have had this discussion every year, I am fed up tearing back from work at ninety miles an hour to get back in time for the six fifteen start time for the mens league,
Us working Bowlers miss an awful lot of games it would make such a difference if they started at half six or even seven,
Am seriously considering giving up Bowling
Does anyone else feel like this or am I the only one,
Lardy

Good Evening Lardy
The Ladies who work have an even harder time, its impossible to play in any County Competitions because they are all nine O'Clock starts in the morning during the week, so we either have to take days off work or not enter
The only games in the evening are friendly games against other clubs which are nothing more that roll ups
Know one girl who only played four evening games all last season, If they want to get more younger Lady members something drastic is going to have to be done
Frustrated Angel:(

Hi Lardy
Do understand how you feel, not easy when your working but if the men start any later in the evening, epically at the beginning of the Season
They will be playing in the dark, often wondered if they played less than 21 ends in the league games it might make a difference to the start

Lucky me I am one of the Bowlers who is retired and has all day to get to a game,Her Indoors is getting pretty fed up with me being out every weekend not to mention during the week,
Do think if we are to get more Younger Members, Bowls England might give this issue some discussion, Our Opponents Greens are a fair distance away, and with the traffic in the Summer crawling along I only make the start time by the skin of my teeth, And I have all day to get there
