Well pops I haven't seen anything like this either, It Will be interesting to see how many Clubs get these Colored Mats,
I was hoping to see someone play with these White Bowls everyone is talking about, but so far they are like the Invisible Man we all know they
are there but nobody has seen any on the green

Hi Everyone
Have been having a look at the Mats it seems they are only for indoors, haven't seen any for Outdoors
Dont think it would worry me what color, the mats are more interested on playing well

Hi All,
Really pleased I'm colored blind!!!!! Do like the idea of Red carpets OR Grass!! a lot of my mates play with Red woods, they would be tripping over them as they walk up to the head as more often than not they are short!!! and just wouldn't see the red woods in the colored surface!!!!

Great Idea Keith, wonder why I didn't see the green bowls on the grass, thats my excuse when I miss by a mile
I cant see Clubs using these mats they should stick to the black ones
Surfer:cool:
Our green turns a sort of yellow round about August when all the grass wears down and you can see patches of soil coming through
It can be really fast over patches, spend a lot of the summer looking for green bit of grass to try and slow the Bowls down,
Tricky is not the word

Alot of mats here also have advertising in the middle of them, some carpets are blue and some clubs do apply paint to their greens for advertising sponsors
Wow we haven't got anything like that, have seen it on football pitches on the television,
Do have a few advertising boards round the green which we get a bit of revenue from
But what a good idea think we are a long way behind Australia in the Bowling world, over here they are such sticklers for rules and regulations
Only a few years ago that the ladies were allowed to wear trousers, and it took until last year to be able to wear any white hat, still have to wear baseball caps for County games,
We have a high count of cancer and a baseball cap in the height of summer doesn't give you enough protection from the sun, not if you spend six hours plus on the green.
Sorry I am rambling a bit but I do feel very strongly about this:(

Anything that brightens up the game of Bowls including mats Bowls and espically our kit, is great what a relief not to be wearing white all the time, some people thought I worked in a hospital,

Leaves me shaking my head, not sure what is happening cant keep up with the changes first they got me wearing one colored shirt, next year it got stripes on the color,
All right for some people but with the pension stretched hard to keep up with everything Next they will be wanting us to wear Red Blue or Yellow shoes
Should have left everything White knew where I was then

Crabie I would keep quiet if I were you, don't go giving anyone the Idea of Colored Bowling Shoes, its the only thing that I know is going to last
for years without someone wanting to change
Surfer:cool:
Bowling shoes were brown b4 they were white. The current Aussie players wear yellow shoes to match the Aussie uniforms. Coloured bowls shoes will be here soon enough.

Didn't know that Red, would make a change having colored shoes, but our shoes are around 50£ having a different color could be really
expensive,
But I think you are right, thats whats coming next
Can see some resistance from the Older Bowler

Yes I can see coloured shoes coming here too.
We have always been able to wear brown or white.
