:D:D Thanks for the welcome Surfer and Blondie, I have been playing in Brisbane - Aust for about 5 years. We are able to play 12 months a year outdoors - so the game never ends - just move onto the next event. play at a fairly small club (only about 60 members bowl) barefoot bowls and social groups keep the place busy most of the time. We do have one of the youngest pennant teams going round - average age is about 45 so that makes things interesting at times.

Hi Kevin
You are very lucky with the length of time you bowl, we play outdoors April till beginning of Sept
Then its an Indoor Club, we have very few of these in Cornwall and you have to travel a fair way a lot of players don't bowl at all in the Winter,
Love the sound of your barefoot bowls great way to get new members think with the amount of rain we get it would be called webfeet evening,
Do have flood lit Bowls evening where we have lights around the green these are very good epically when the bar is open
Bowling in Australia sound good
