They are Vector VS White Size 4 with Dimples and New dated 18
and this retailer says he only received in NZ 2 weeks ago.
They have a reserve of $720 NZ, normal retail $748 NZ, which to me is a lot of money for a set of bowls.

Hi Kiwi Bowler,
Wow like the colour, link works, and had a good look.
You're right what a price, it' around £275 in English money, a colour set is around £180 new in the U.K,!!!!!!!!!!!!
Still might be worth it just to be so different, our season is well under way in the U.K. full blast and playing every day.

Hi Kiwi Bowler
In Australian dollars that is around $560. The going price for a set of coloured bowls is around $620 which is around $785 nz. A friend bought a set of white dreamlines, from a state player, they only made a couplr of demo sets. What they found is that the bowls which have a white speckle seem to take a tighter line than the normal colours. Haven't seen any white taylors esp the Vector VS which have a very tight line.

Hi Kiwi Bowler & Bundyboy,
Just done the currency converter for the 560 Australian dollars works out about £272 British Pound!!!!
What is surprising is many Bowlers in the U.K. are under the impression that Bowls are cheaper in Australia and New Zealand!!!!!
A colored set in the U.k. is about £180 -£200, about £70 cheaper than your part of the world. When you consider many are made in the Southern Hemisphere then shipped to the U.K., then sold cheaper in the U.K.???, seems strange to me.
Love the white bowls!!

Hi Frankie,
Although the pirce I stated is for speckled bowls it certainly is strange that we pay more. Henselite bowls are made in Australia and are marginally cheaper than Greenmaster and Taylor bowls which are made in UK

Yes I have noticed this mentioned on an Australian Bowls Forum site too and it still doesn't make sence.

Hi Kiwi Bowler & Bundyboy,
Had another look at the mystery, have but on a link from Ian Bond shop U.K. bowler showing a red set of Henselite Bowls costing £192 British Pounds, thats around 497 New Zealand Dollars & 391 Australian Dollars.
Mind you things seem a lot cheaper in the U.K. due to the recession apart from Energy,Food costs & Council Tax, we still get riped off on these!!!!!
Just had the new Budget from the Government with massive more borrowing, all to bail out our Bankers and the system!!
Still still a good life in the U.K. and of course the BOWLING!!

Thanks for that Frankie,
Someone here in NZ and Australia is making a very big cut:(, and maybe it's because we have bowlers that are paying our high prices here that they get away with it?

Hi Sheza
Love the look of the white Specled Bowls. Not what I thought they would be like, think if they were plain white they could be very boring
Yes I could play with something like this all depends how they perform

I really like the look of the Almark White Bowl, going to look around on the net and see what price they are,
Have been thinking of changing my woods am playing some dreadful games lately an awful lot of players are using a more narrow bowl,
Has anyone tried the Almark

OK Bowlers
Have had a look on some of the Bowls Suppliers, one has a set of White Taylor Bowls on,
But none for sale, got every other Color with postage they are nearly £200 pounds
Looked at the Almark can get every Color but White and they are about £180 pounds
This is a lot of Cash to buy something I might not get on with going to have a rethink about what to do,

Hi Early Shift
Ive got to agree with you, I am beginning to think that suppliers are reluctant to stock these white woods, in case no one will buy them and are
waiting until people order them,
Or there are so many Bowlers on the waiting list they cant get enough,
Shall have to wait and see???

Hi White Bowl bowlers,
Don't know if I could get on with 'white bowls'. then I thought the bright yellow ones would never sell. Give me the boring old black ones any day!!!

Hi Roo
I don't think my Black bowls are boring and in some tournaments I have been in they are a bit of a novelty as most of the other bowlers have coloured bowls.:p:grin::cool:

I'm going to keep my Black Boring woods as well, wouldn't change them for anything,
Sure the next thing the manufactures will bring out is striped Bowls and then Spotted Bowls,
Or Something as ridiculous to part people with their cash

perhaps black bowls with kiwi's on them:grin::grin::grin:
I 've got black woods with RED on them. A mate of mine had blacks with the silver fern on em.
Your not going to believe what I have on mine, they are Black with a white map of Australia on them,
Must take a picture of them and let everyone see, Strange never gave it a thought
When I bought them didn't know what would be on them until they arrived
