You know its not fair, I was expecting the New Bowls England to sort out the issue of the Men playing most of their games in the Evening, and the Ladies playing during the day
All very well but in this day and age, Women do have to work as well to keep the home going,
I would like to see something done about this issue, we are not all

Hi Sam

I have a friend who works and she had four evening games last year, if she enters any County Games she has to take days off as holidays, not all firms are going to let employees do this,
The men get all their County Games at the Weekend its time we had our fair share of weekend Bowling

A Lady freind off mine took up lawn bowls about 2 years ago and she found a club (in Papakura) that did cater for Lady workers. All their club competitions are played at the weekends, for both Ladies and Men which I think is great.

At my club us men play our champs at the weekend and the Ladies during the week, which I agree is not fair to the Ladies that still work.

I always got the impression the Ladies liked playing in the afternoon, and not in the Evening when its freezing cold at the beginning of the Season,
Another complaint was that they did not like driving home in the dark ,
Ladies you cant have it every way, and if you all feel like this should bring it up at Committee Level no use complaining if you don't do anything about it

If the Bowling Clubs want to get younger Ladies into the sport, they are going to have to change the times of games to accommodate people who work,

Peter, I would say the retired Ladies don't mind playing in the afternoon, but this is about the ladies that work.

It does seem unfair that the Ladies cant have there County Games on a Weekend
I know one Lady who uses her holidays so she can play in these competitions, she got through last year and it caused all sorts of problems
Because her employer was fine as long as she knew in advance she had to pretend to be ill to play in the semi

I do feel for the Girls who have to work, its impossible for them to play league games as they are all during the day, its the same for the County Competitions, except if they are the one you arrange yourself,

Things have got to change :(
