this may sound a bit silly but i have never been to australia ,but it has a reputation for hosting various life threatening creepy crawlies,has any body ever had an experience with these creatures on the bowling green,and do you have to watch out for them when bowling,,,just curious,,,

We get a few creatures on our green - but none of the animal kind! :D

Its a valid question guys, yep bugs can be a problem. We dont get many snakes, maybe in the backyard yeah but not on the green so much as the no long grass, but if you leave your shoes in the changing room - its a given to turn them upside down and check for spiders.:twisted: Rare buggers are the funnel webs but you often get a redback, nothing too serious but can scare the bejeezers out ya! :eek:

You should play at Perrenporth right beside the boating lake, its just a swarm of midges, eaten alive:(:( help.

I heard of a roo once disturbing a game on the west coast, but bingo is right as the gass is short we dont get too many critters, thank god :cool:

Wish the grass was short at my club, feels like playing on a rugby pitch,beginning of the season.:mad:

A lot of Dragons on our green, some on two legs,thinking of using midge spray,espically when they bounce the woods.:roll:

Could put up with the sun, not sure about the creepy crawlies, still got a lot of them at my club

Wish we had a bit of sun saturday, had to look the thermals out, wind cut right through the trousers, love the start of the season, but evening games are just so cold, cold cold, might move to aus,:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Hi Silver, know what you mean about the wind, went out and bought a white wollen hat, looks like im wearing a bandage, but its great, put the peaked cap on top, I look a bit silly but it makes a difference, nice and warm.:cool::cool:
