Should I ask to play in another position

Have Changed Club this year, and I usually play lead but have been put down to Skip in a Ladies Team,
I left my old club because of a disagreement, with one very bossy Bowler
Am wondering if this has been done deliberately to see how I react, I don't want to seem disruptive but I am not a skip, by any means of the imagination would be grateful for any advice on what to do,

Alway tricky when you join a New Club, if you left your old Club because of a disagreement you know what the gossips are like
I would have a quiet word with the Lady Captain and see if its possible to change positions, if she says no then I'm afraid you have the decision to make if you are going to play or not ?????

I would go and have a word people are usual very nice about this sort of thing, perhaps they didn't realize you played lead or second

We get more complaints in my Club because people think they should be skipping when they aren't good enough

Bit of a complement that they have put you in as Skip

Thats why you have a selection Committee, cant have people deciding where they are going to play in teams, would cause havoc in a club

Selection is always difficult and causes most problems in a Club but nobody wants a person who is not happy in a team

I'm sure they will listen and sort things out for you,
