Evening Bowlers

Had our Ladies Meeting, everything went well except for a few minor issues, seems that everyone has to take out extra insurance because of the rediculious claims that are being made
One bar Steward has been awarded a lot of money running into thousands because he was not being paid extra for working a bank Holiday
We are going the way of America which are claim crazy, going to cost only about one twenty a season wich is well worth it
There is more to come Clubs will have to be careful about Health and Safty:roll::roll:

Hi Everyone

Have been reading about people putting in claims for some silly things, with cash getting shorter all sorts of scams will come out of the woodwork
Any sport will get its fair share of injuries seen an awful lot of Ladies slip last year because of the wet weather, had one Bowler break her

shoulder,
Its a very good thing and one twenty is not a vast amount, saves the Clubs worrying about people suing

Not a bad idea everyone taking out insurance, our Club would close if someone were to take a claim out against them, know they have some insurance but not sure if it covers for personal injury
We had a Lady last year break her arm, on the first end because of the rain she said the mat was slippy
Know the Committee were worried and went out and bought new mats:roll:

All clubs are required to carry 3rd party liability insurance to cover mmbers and any other people who may who are on the premises legaly. Committees especially the club secretary should ensure that they have sufficient cover. I do not know how much but their club insurers will advise them.

:roll:In a perfect World all these things would be taking care of by the Club Secretary
Last year they forgot to enter the mens top team, double rink etc this year so far we havent got any fixture books telling us where or when we play
I am keeping my fingers crossed we get them before opening day as I am dreadful for getting things mixed up, got to feel sorry for him he tries to do too many things as well as Club Secetary and gets himself into a mess

In NZ if you have a sporting accident it's covered by our ACC, for everyone.

Our Club has never had an insurance claim for injuries received on the green, think this must be a new thing that is creeping in, Bowlers are usually very nice people espically if they are winning,
Was standing round the bar one evening and someone had the bright idea of writing a book of excuses Bowlers made when they lost,
Might suggest it to our Captain would be a nice little earner, ?????? Surfer:cool:

Could end up on the best sellers list, has anyone ever tried to find a book with Bowling Jokes in, tried everywhere had to make a few speeches

last year and was at a complete loss

Why is it visiting Captains have people curled up with laughter at their jokes when giving their speeches,

Hi Peter

Know what our Captain does he get an Ordinary Joke book and changes the Jokes around and makes them sound like Bowling ones
Don't ask me how, but they are so funny, problem is I can never remember them after

Wouldn't be any good at making speeches or telling Jokes everyone to their own
