Hi everyone - hoping you can help!
Have asked around and now giving it a go online.
Any tips for judging distance correctly, i.e. what works for you, judge by the
weight/force you roll the bowl or choosing a spot on the green to deliver at?
I would like to become more consistant but switch between the two methods
above!
Thanks

Yes I suppose :), I think I mean what is the best way to give the right weight - does anyone focuss on point of delivery - or do you just need at a 'good eye'?

I must admit that when I learnt to Bowl, i was learnt to focus on a spot on the green and try to bowl over that at the same speed everytime. Its hard to be consistant though when you play on a variety of different greens in different weather! LOL. I suppose the only way you can be totally consistant is on your own green every home game.

I Agree here & with wrong bias, you need lots of practise and experience, you can also look out a coach as well :)

Thanks people, its all good advice, I like the idea of trying to bowl over the
same spot, might go for a few roll ups and give it a go....

well Im looking forward to a good summer of practice! :D
The more i try to judge the distance, the harder it gets for me to get near the jack,I:( play better if i dont try.
Im just looking foreword to the summer, wishful thinking sun.

This is a great thread, the key thing 'To get the weight'!!!!
With bowlers comming from indoor to outdoor quite a chalenge.
The only thing I do is practise then a bit more no easy answer!!
