Some People think they own the Club

Went up this morning after booking a rink last week, only to find all rinks being used by a group of players who were rolling up,

They were adamant that this was their morning after looking in the book they had only booked three rinks, and I had the other

What a carry on this lady started shouting and trying to bully us, saying they had been coming for months without any trouble, we did stand our

ground but it was a horrible experience and I came home in quite a state told my friend I would not be going again,

She told me off as well saying you shouldn't give in to bullies and that I had just as much right to be there if not more :roll::roll:

Some people are just horrible I wouldn't take a bit of notice and don't let them put you off from going down and enjoying a roll up
You pay your subs and green fees like the players who were complaining,
You had done the right thing and booked a rink get people who like to get their own way in everything :D

Last winter I and my friend thought we would take out membership with a Club that had an artificial green, and you could go for a friendly roll up it was cheaper than full membership
Got really excited so off we went on a nice sunny winters day all wrapped up, looking forward to getting back on a full sized green
When we got there we couldn't get on the green three of the rinks had only two people playing on them the rest had team of four
Stood around like spare parts waiting for someone to ask us to join in, but no, my friend went along the rinks and no one would let us join in
Really disappointed we went into the Club house in search of a warm cup of tea, and complained we were told the players were all committee members and that they had a lot of complaints from new members
Know who isn't going to be getting my cash next year :confused::confused:

Bit unfair Blondie, after youd paid I would have gone back and got there really early and refused to let these players join us on the rink and see how they felt

Not a good way to treat new members even if you are only winter members Angel :rolleyes:

Same in every Club one or two members watch the biscuits like they were gold bullion
Last year it got so bad that the mens a team had a separate tin for their biscuits tea and coffee
Real bone of contention they got so fed up with these few people complaining about having to replace things they bought their own

Our Club have got it sorted they bulk buy biscuits tea etc, works sort of only complaint so far is all the nice bickies go and they are left with the

plain one, that and the cheapest coffee tastes like #####

Hi Kiwi Bowler Yes we did ask tried being tactful and stood around at the end of the rinks but were ignored
So my friend went up and asked if they would mind if we made up the numbers and play pairs, she got different excuses like they wanted to practice playing singles etc
Bit unfair two people taking up a whole rink epically as the weather only gives you a certain time before it starts getting dark in the winter
and there are not that many days where the weather will be suitable to play,

Bit mean most Bowlers would ask you to join in epically if the other rinks were taken up, I would have put in an official complaint no point in joining if you cant get a game Angel:confused:

Hi Everyone feel like I own the Club after this morning have been up to my outdoor Club , spent all morning cleaning the kitchen surprising when you put your glasses on how much needs doing, came home exihausted bet no one notices what Ive done a very tired Bowler:roll:
