Was asked at the End of the Summer to be Vice Captain for our Ladies, I wasn't that keen but decided to give it a go, at our Club you are Vice for two years then take over and be Ladies Captain for two years
Started off fine but I quickly noticed that I was being asked to do all the meetings and there was an awful lot of traveling involved, and most of the work, I don't mind doing my share but I feel that I am being taken advantage of,
Our Captain told me she couldn't go to a certain meeting, and I discover by accident she had been shopping
I feel like telling her I don't want to carry on, I don't like being taken advantage of, but it would cause an awful lot of problems:roll:
Hi Blondie
If you don't do something you will have two years of this, you are getting irritated now whats it going to be like by August will cause you so
much stress, My Mum used to say better out than In, you need to think about what you want from your Bowling
:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Hello Everyone I have recently joined World Bowler and find reading the posts very interesting
I was persuaded to be Lady Captain a while ago, it was the most stressful time ever you get blamed for everything and not a lot of praise when
it goes right
If anyone is considering doing the job I would think carefully, some people love to be in charge and enjoy the challenge
If you are not one of these give it a miss, Blondie I think you need to have a word with your Ladies Committee and tell them how you feel, get it
sorted before the Season starts

Hi Blondie only good thing that comes out of Being Vice Captain, is that you will get into all the top games that are played
Next time your Captain asks you to go to a meeting tell her you have a previous appointment only do the ones you want
She might get the message that your not a door mat:rolleyes:

Yippee no work today can join all you Bowlers on the net, Get some intersting threads,
Over the course of a Season we get a lot of difficult problems, can put it down to a lot of Grumpy players who think they know everything, as people get older they expect to get their way in everything
Watched Blackballed a while back could see every Bowlers in the Club there including the Committee
:D Got to laugh:D

Thanks for the advice folks it was much appreciated, I enden up having a word with our Committee not sure what was said to our Lady Captain
But the requests for me to attend meetings have dried up, I would think by the beginning of the Summer Season we will all be back on good terms
If I feel there is still an atmosphere I shall stand down and they can get someone else for Vice
