What do these Players Have

Got a bit more time in the Winter to dwell on things is it only me who noticed this, but every year its the same Bowlers who win the Trophy's

year after year

Have been bowling it feels like a lifetime and have not worked out why I practice more that most enter every competition I have occasionally

won something, If I could figure out what these players have or do that makes them more successful ????

Hi Bigbear you are right every year its the same players that get into the finals and if they don't win come second
Wish I knew how they do it have watched how they deliver their wood etc these players use a lot of tactics running after their woods and go up to the head more than the average Bowler
Did think of running after my woods but would feel so ridiculous I play so badly sometimes my wood don't even reach the head:roll:

Wish I knew get fed up never winning when I play against them :(

Got a lot more talent than me for a start, sure some people have better eye coordination always find if we get new members who have played

golf cricket or football they pick the game up a lot quicker and get pretty good

Should have played more sport at school instead of spending all my spare time in the sea Surfer :cool:

Gone over this subject in the Ladies changing room more times that I care to remember epically after a particular bad game
Sure some people are more focused and determined we have one lady form another club her particular thing is squashing your hand so painfully tight when you handshake before a match, if you have a ring on it is unbelievable painful,
Think she is trying to take control definitely a tactic, got round this one by giving her my left hand with my sleeve pulled down, and making an issue of it she ends up shaking hands with the sleeve

Not a bad idea Angel hate players who squash your hand, you should have tried giving her hand a good squeeze might put her off her game

Hi Bigbear,

Unfortunately I think when all the practice is over it's in the mind and the confidence to win.

A lot of losers will say it's the 'Woods'/ 'Green'/ 'Settings' so if you find you are not winning as much as you should just think how many times you are using excuses if you LOSE.

A Winner if He/She losses always says Well Bowled and Never makes excuses.
