Bowling Tour to Cyprus

Hi World Bowler & All,

Hello everyone although I am new to 'Worldbowler' I am not new to Bowls!!
Have been following this site for months & just returned from a FANTASTIC bowling tour to Cyprus and I thought I would share a few of the Photos with you!!
Have a bit of patience with me as I handle the 'Technology' and should have them posted in the next couple of days!!

Thats providing I don't have a big hangover from the New Year Celebrations!!!

HI All,

At last ready to start putting on a few pictures, special thanks for the private messages on the technical bit and your requests for info on our Bowling Club Tour.

We all had a truly wonderful time not to not, November sun in Cyprus i is
great, the Tour/Holiday lasted for 2 weeks but now we are back it flew by.

The Entertainment and Social side was everything you expect and it kept the Club together, they were organized matches also you could bowl as much as you want.
Below is a few Photos giving a good example of our Bowling days.

Hi Quiz People,

My friend says that I should not publish this one, but could not help myself!!!!!!

On a day off we were playing 'Crazy Golf', and a snapped away, on looking at this photo we are not sure what the Lady is looking at!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to put it up on my Clubs notice board, Anyone with a good Caption??? please put on a reply, must be O.K. to put on the board!!

Hi Peter Pan Great Pictures would have loved to have gone on this Bowling Tour such wonderful weather am really envious, did you win many of your games always difficult playing on fast greens when you are used to heavy grass sure my wood would have been going into the ditch

Did have a laugh when I saw this Photo, not sure where she is looking!!!!

She should know better, wouldn't do it in my day!!!!

Pictures are Very Good well worth waiting for, Our Club stopped going on tour because of falling numbers we always stayed in England did venture to Cardiff one year but nothing as exciting as Cyprus, going to forward World Bowler to our Captain might get him thinking about starting one for other years, Am going to look on Goggle and price up Holidays in Cyprus

Thank you all for your support, over this bit of fun, 'Bargain Hunt', will keep caption running for another week, then I will let you know the one that is liked the most

Just to be on the safe side I asked the 'Lady' in question if this is O K, she is delighted, and has offered to pick the one she likes the most!!! what a sport!!!!

Love the caption idea, do wonder if we could have got away with it in this P C world IE; If a woman had the golf putter and a man was Looking, What captions would we have then!!! Perve etc etc. But then I think this is great, my Caption would be,

Hi All and Competition entries,

Thank you all for your support this has really been a 'HOOT' at our end, the winning caption is on our notice board with the picture' not only is it raising moral it's taking the fellow tourists back to our wonderful time in Cyprus.

She decided on the caption from John as below;

Hi All Bowlers,

My Outdoor bowling club is off to Menorca in September for 2 weeks staying at the hotel S Algar, has anyone been on a Bowling tour to Menorca or in fact stayed at this Hotel??

Any help will be gratefully appreciated, we have 38 members going on tour and our first Club Tour overseas.

Hi Barbie,

My Club went on a bowling Tour to Menorca in October 2007. The good things is that we are a Somerset Club and the flight was from Exeter!!

The Bowling green is just about 300 yards from the Hotel San Luis in S'Algar, we had games against ourselves/local club and another Bowling Club that was in the island at the same time.

Hotel was great, there was 48 on tour and made our own fun, the resort and hotel is quiet at this time of year so its good to be in a group.

This sound Great last time I went on Holiday I drove her indoors mad trying to find a Bowling Club to have a roll up, did find one even got her to give it a try hard when your partner has no interest in the game

I haven't posted on the Forum before but our Club is off to the Isle of Wight for our Indoor Tour,

Was wondering if any of you Bowlers had been on Tour to the Isle of

Wight and could perhaps give us a few tips on the best Places to go

Shall take the Camera with me and get some pictures, epically if we win a

few games

Our Club is currently on tour and staying at a hotel with an indoor bowling green.

Had a couple of phone calls, they say that they are really enjoying the week!!!!
