Wont take New Bowlers into the Teams

Morning Bowlers

Got a situation where some of the Club Teams that have been winning most of their games wont take new Bowlers into the Teams
Even when they are short and they have players who are ill, they struggle along we have new members with their names on the board wanting to play in teams and they are not getting any games
The Committee should do something but we have no rules on this matter

Had something along those lines happen at our club last year, the committee took a stand and put a notice up saying that each team where

needed would have to accommodate a new bowler

Had a few people leave over this but its all settled down put a stop to the so called super teams who would wipe the board in the competitions

Cant have new members joining and paying their fees if they are not going to get in teams and have games

Hi Bowlers,
I'm fairly new to bowling and previously they have had issues at my club with little support for new bowlers!!!

I was taken into the Counties with 3 experienced bowlers and I play most league games.

So I can't complain and issues in the past have help me and I'm really enjoying my Bowling and the Company!!

I don't think Clubs take enough care when they get new members, have seen it happen time and time again
Sure they are scared they are going to lose their place on the teams
You can see these people turn up and are left feeling like they are not wanted

I was lucky when I started to bowl and had a Lady who was a seasoned bowler take me under her wing its no mean feat trying to work out

what to put your name down for when your a new to the game

If no one shows you it would be easy not to enter anything and get disheartened and leave
