Why do the Men only play in the Evening

Morning Bowlers
Am playing Inter Club League this evening what I want to know is in this new Amalgamated Bowling World why is it that only the men play their games in the evening and the Ladies get the cushy day time games know some of the men work but so do the Ladies
They cant have it both ways if they want equality lets see it being put into practice
Us Men don't like the late night games and Saturday I C L games any more than the ladies do
Is this practice carried out in other Divisions

Do sympathize with you Firer but its historic indoors that Ladies play during the day and men in the Evening

Alway thought it was because we had more men who worked and it would give them more of an opportunity to have more games

If enough men feel they object to this they should take it up with the Club Committee:rolleyes:

Hi Firer not sure you will want to hear this but I work and if they didn't have the mens games in the evening I would not get any Bowling at all
Wouldn't be worth my while joining a club if they moved the games to the afternoon LARDY:(

Hi there another example is with outdoor bowling at my club, the men play the champs at the weekend and the women during the week. Which means it's not fair to ladies who work.

Hi Everyone I'm sure with Bowls England in charge we are going to see a more fairer way of sharing games
Know we cant all have the games when we want but a fair way would be to the ladies having one weekend and men the next, A lot of Ladies who work have to have time off from work and use up their Holidays to play important games during the week its got to be sorted at some point http://www.julianhainesbowls.co.uk/forum/images/avatars/7963.gif Angel:D

Well I am one Bowler who is fed up playing late in the Evening, did think about giving up this winter

Not much fun getting back at half ten at night if you have an away game it could be later

Wouldn't be so bad if the Ladies could do a few of these late nights and we could have a slot during the day

Only fair when you think about it we pay the same green and subs

Hi All,

We were talking about this last night and one of the 'older' bowlers was saying it worked alright years ago but now these women have become all liberated and work, its messed the bowling right up.
We did have a laugh, but the historic point he was making is right Men use to go out to work which gave women time during the day to bowl, no doubt it will change..
