Banned Drugs in Bowling

Had a lot of lectures on Doping last year our Girls who went to Lemington had to fill out a form detailing all the tablets and medicine they were taking
Have been having a look on Bowls England and you would need to be a chemist to understand the list
Have asked a few times but have never got a satisfactory answer as to what would be a banned substance
Always wondered what you would take that would make you bowl better ????
Completely baffled by the whole issue If anyone knows please let us know:rolleyes:

Hi Sam must admit I am like you and have no idea what sort of drug that would improve your playing skills in a game of Bowls

Considering the age range of the Members of a Bowls Club nearly all of them must be on two or three different tablets for a variety of things

when i get beaten again will start to wonder what sort of drugs my opponents are on Surfer:cool:

Looking at the Bowlers in my Club everyone I know is on some medication of sorts
What I'm interested in knowing is which drugs are banned if you are playing against someone who is being treated for a medical complaint
And they are on the banned list surely this is unfair
What the World Bowls are obviously talking about is taking something that is not prescribed by the medical profession
But if i took some cough medicine or allergy tablets or herbal treatment would i be banned if tested I think they should make things more clearer

When I get beaten, I am going to be wondering what my opponent is taking in the way of medication
This could be better than blaming the green the weather the straight woods
Going to say to myself she must be on something to be able to win like that
Not that I am Bowling like a twat :roll:

I have got a medicine cabinet that should be the envy of the street, have to take so many tablets have got a list so as I don't forget some

Can honestly say they haven't turned me into a Star Bowler probably the opposite get beaten by everybody even beginners

If I could find out what is supposed to make you improve your game would get the doc to prescribe it :rolleyes:
