Emotional Power Within (http://performancelawnbowls.com/index.php/behaviour/emotional-power-within/)
When playing a lawn bowls game, have you ever had the experience of being on a winning roll, the feeling that you could do no wrong? A time when everything seems to go right? When every draw shot finished on target and every on-shot, running and drive shot hit the target irrespective whether it was planned or not. You can also probably remember times you messed up things that you usually do well, when every step and everything you did turned out wrong, and you’ve thought to yourself “Hell, what a mess
Come across this article wondered how many Bowlers have felt like this have been reading up on positive thought and how they coach footballers to win any thought folk would it work with Bowling:rolleyes:

Try reading: "Think & Play Better Bowls" by Mark de Lacy with Peter Belliss.
It helped me lots when I was a junior bowler (my first 5 years) to win lots of champ events at my club:grin:
Have a look for that book Kiwi Bowler can use all the help i can get,
might be something in this positive thought thing could explain why some people are brilliant.

Nobody is safe on my rink when I decide to fire nine times out of ten I miss
Can see people hopping around everywhere on the end of the rink had a few near misses with wayward woods
Been told I'm dangerous Surfer:cool:
someone at my club whose husband is a Hypnotherapies and he has worked wonders with his son
Wouldn't have believed it but am now thinking of booking an appointment
The cost is not cheap but am a bit worried if he would actually hypnotism me
Am going to look into it if it works could go to Lemengton next year:D

Going into town today might have a look in the Library and see if I can find any books on Positive though
A lot of other sports like football take this sort of thing seriously could be worth a try
