Difficult Greens

Hi Everyone

Have been out and about took these pictures to day, not all of us have the luxury of six rink Bowling greens this one has three and has got some of the best Bowlers around

But I still don't think this green is wide enough to play across we Will have to wait and see:rolleyes:


I have put these pictures on Members Pictures under difficult greens so everyone can have a look

This green looks very much like ours, got a bit of damage but with a bit of nursing over the winter should be fine
Problem with greens that aren't wide enough to change settings
They get an awful lot of runs makes it really hard to play on:roll:

Yes, I have never seen such a small bowling green.

Most of our greens here can play 7 or 8 rinks and the greens are square so you can turn them around.

We have a lot of these small greens around, they take an awful lot of damage because of Bowlers bouncing woods and repeated wear
Not a lot can be done as there is not enough room to move rinks:(

looking at this green its going to need a lot of work over the winter to get

it up to scratch, its easy to say but if you haven't got players willing to

do jobs it can turn into a mammoth task

no good blaming the green when its you, :D
