Hi came across these new granite colored bowls getting nearer to the White Bowl all the time
Also had a look at the price of some Tiger 11 couldn't believe they were nearly two hundred pounds, and postage on top
Is it me or have the price of bowls and equipment gone a bit mad

THIS IS A BRAND NEW DESIGN FROM THOMAS TAYLOR.
A slightly wider drawing arc than the Vector with no hook at the finish.
It's a dual purpose bowl, ideal for any rink position indoors, but while accomodating front end players on grass, it may be a little too straight for skips.
Heavyweight only.
PLEASE NOTE; STOCK COLOUR, If out of stock. Approx. waiting time, (depending on manufacturers workload) 6 - 8 weeks, although some colours are available much quicker and may even be in stock.

Hi Haven't seen this granite color before sure we are going a little mad on colors it will be striped woods next or spotted
This particular wood would be no good for me need something with a bit of a hook at the end
Have tried Vectors and couldn't get on with them more wasted money:(

Dont think this colour is much better that the white Bowl everyone is talking about,
If I had to play against someone with these woods i wouldn't be able to see the jack
Would prefer a bright colored bowl at least i could see the jack:rolleyes:

First time Ive seen this Color of Bowl not sure about this looks a bit something and nothing, if you are going to get Colored bowls might as well get something that stands out :D
Know its too late but when all bowls were the same color it was a level playing field
If you kept your eye on the ball you could tell where every players bowl was
It was a big advantage when playing against someone who let their mind wander
Knew you were in with a chance when they had to ask where their teams bowls were:roll:

Hi Snapper, new coloured Henselite Bowls here in New Zealand cost in NZ $680, which is a lot since they are only made across the ditch in Ausie

Don't understand why your Bowls are so expensive you would think as they are made closer to home they would be a lot cheaper
Sure they charge as much as they think they can get:D

I'm sure you can take these colored bowls too far, its only
another way of getting people to spend more money
It was much better when all bowls were black:D

Have only noticed your Picture, Love the red speckled dream line bowl
Know someone who plays indoors with these and she is very good
She leads and they hold a nice straight line but tells me it might not be so good for back end
Thought about changing bit I play with Classic 11 and think i will stay with something I am comfortable with:D
Been looking at exchange rates don't understand why in England our Bowls seen to be cheaper think it would be the other way round
Hope my arithmetic is right:rolleyes:

$690NZD = approx 240GBP
Perhaps it's our retails here in New Zealand, making too much profit.:(
Thanks for that Kiwi Bowler have been trying to work it out, looks as if the retailers are ripping you off over there
The most expensive new bowl I have seen is 199 pounds and this is the latest one out :(

Thats a good fifty pounds more in Zealand , you would think with the distance involved they would be dearer in England
Someone is making a big profit:(

When I started bowls were half this price, and people played with the
same bowls all of their bowling life
Now people are changing woods every season don't see the point its just a
waste of money

Hi Bigbear that's true, but these Artificial greens seem to be doing damage to our bowls. That's why they have to be re-bias and tested.
When I got mine done last year one was way out and it had been caused by playing on artificial greens.

Just seen on the net here in NZ a trader selling Brand New Henselite Impact Bowls for $299 or $340 Blue. These are old stock expiry 14, and take a very narrow draw, but they seem to be selling.
I think they would be good for a lead or two, but I don't know about a Skip?

It also make's me wonder at these prices how much profit they make when they are not old stock.

Sure someone is making a big profit with a pretty high mark up
People only change woods if they have trouble holding them
Or if they fancy new Colored Woods and fall for the smooth sales talk
I find I can get second hand woods at a fraction of the price only a couple of years old
And can trade in my old woods :D

2nd hand bowls in NZ that are only 1 to 2 years old still go for high prices here:(

Someone is making a lot of money from you, we have got local bowls suppliers where we trade our old bowls in and they give us a really good deal, i suppose when we go there is all ways the odd bit of clothing or hat that we get tempted to buy, can also order new wood if we want them :D
