Went to lamington twice won numerous county and national games have done this in successive years, is bowls a closed shop I think my face does not fit, other bowlers who have not won a single competition are selected for games, I Am thinking of giving up :roll:

Don’t give them the satisfaction, I know people who are average , and still get picked for important games, and the really talented players, are ignored, I hate to say this but in some circles it is who you know,

Selection can be very difficult and is the most discussed topic in any club, people will not play with others, and a lot of people think they are better than everyone else, anyone who complains should try sitting on these committees, you will not please everyone,

I do understand selection is difficult, but surely, when someone is winning year after year, selectors should look at the results, of county and national games, and pick the teams on their performance, how on earth we are ever going to win anything,

Know what you mean about selection, our club is a closed shop, no one has any chance of getting into the A team, you can win all the club competions county as well, but will never get a chance, we have lost so many members, because of this, if you are not in the inner circle, you just have to put up with it or leave, frustrated bowler :(
