I think whites for county games, but the coloured shirts are great, spectators can actually see which team is which, I think bowls will have to change with the times or be left behind.

It really is time, young women will not join bowls clubs, only recently with the introduction of cropped trousers and coloured shirts, we are starting to attract youngsters, Bowls has always been seen as an old peoples sport.

Im not even sure if its the clothes that would bring youngsters in, although it would prob help relaxing rules, often right or wrong young people want place they can relax,,,, although not always true bowls has had that regimental appearance, sometimes necessary, sometimes not.

I think that bowls clubs, should stop sticking there heads in the sand, and get into the twentieth century, old fashioned rules on dress, is ridiculous, ladies are not allowed to wear warm woollen hats or any other headgear unless it is baseball caps, which until recently they had to wear a sort of hard trilby which looked dreadful, wake up bowlers.

i would definately like to see a change, and it wouldnt take much to do it ,its up the the governors i suppose though,,dont suppose they would allow mini skirts though,,,,,,,wishfull thinking

I do not think we would get away with mini skirts, but knee lenght shorts would be wonderful, in summer and perhaps sleevless tops, might get young people to join.

Do not think we would get the go ahead for mini skirts, but they should ban coloured underwear for men what do you think girls.

The men do not realise that you can see the underwear through the white bowling trousers, us ladies have had many a giggly time, you get the blue stripe, the small animal print, and when you bend down some gentlemen are of a generous size, not sure if us ladies are watching the game or something else, no offence intended, we are quite large as well.

Don't mind wearing greys & whites, but I never wear a tie and very few of our younger bowlers do.As to wearing a blazer my wife t!old me she would divorce me if I got one!
I think its too late now to change things to get younger people in the game we reaping the rewards(?) of decades of inactivity and lack of foresight by governing bodies. Don't know about elsewher in the worldbut in the UK the game is dying on its feet!:(
