Same Old Problem Now that the Bowling Season is nearly over
The Hard work starts to keep the Building and Bar ticking over
The Bar Committee of Four people are giving up the Job
And no one is prepared to Take it On they will happily sit and Drink
But when it Comes to responsibility and a bit of Work they are no where to be seen
Is it just our Club that has this lack of willing Members:roll:
Our Club is the same, every time there is a position with work involved no one wants to Know
Selection is another matter got them queuing up usually have to vote every year I wonder why Mary:rolleyes:
This makes me mad We find its the same people who do the work year in year out, the rest turn up on opening day and expect everything to be running smoothly
The ones who don't do anything moan the most:(

First thing they complain about is the green try getting them to come up for a work party Miraculously they all have something to do well thats a Surprise Bigbear:(
Had a thought about work shy Bowlers if we charged them every time work was being done if they dident turn up sure we would see an awful lot more of these work shy people BET they would rather give their time than money

We are told there's going to be a working bee on and we just turn up unless we are working.
As for the bar there's a roster and everyone just has to do there turn.
Love the name Working Bee someone gave that some thought, wish we could get the members doing that (Working) we have Working parties but only the few turn up :(

We started putting lists up because people said they couldent make it on certain days
They were supposed to tick the jobs off as they did them
Did we get more helpers No every time you looked it was the same faithful
few who were doing all the work
Got to get this problem brought up at the next AGM needs sorting:confused:

Seems every Club has this problem its getting people to do the bar if its rented out for private parties two club members have to be there at all times, not everyone wants to spend the weekend standing behind a bar and washing glasses gets more and more difficult to get people
Lot of Bowlers don't realize without the revenue the bar brings the subs would have to double :(
