Hi Folks

With all this wet weather there has been a lot of talk about replacing our

Grass green with an all weather one

Think they are going to put it to the vote at the next AGM

Does anyone know how much it costs to maintain an artificial green

LARDY:rolleyes:

I'm sure in ten years we will all be Bowling on Artificial greens
I know it takes a fair amount of cash each year to maintain our green
It would surely make sense, to change no more grass cutting etc and time consuming work better all round Jean:)

Think Ive got the same sort of woods b---- useless lately
If my club ever wanted to dig up the green and replace it I would be off like a shot Bigbear

Hi Everyone been doing a bit of snooping, got a couple of artificial greens around here but they have been up and running a good few years
Have been told a couple of estimates of how much it cost, but am getting told different amounts, no one in the Club seems to know how much they take to maintain or else they are keeping it quiet not a lot of Help Crabie

Think your Club is going to have to work things out carefully Artificial Greens need replacing after a certain number of years the Cost can be Huge,
With prices going up every year and members decreasing, could end up not being able to replace it This Need Careful Thought:rolleyes:

We asked our 'Club Captain', if he preferred Grass or the Artificial, to the meetings amazement he confessed that 'I have only smoked Grass'.
