:(Does anyone else think we are paying too much for our Bowling kit,

At the beginning of the Bowling Season decided to buy some new cropped trousers

Could not believe the price thirty pounds for cropped trousers

New Shoes were equally as dear Our Club keeps changing items

First we had fleeced Jackets, then they decided they should be waterproof with hoods and fleece lining

Starting to think I shall have to take a Bank Loan out not sure what is coming next year Blondie :(

Some Scam i always thought that when the Club Ordered colored shirts etc
We would pay what was charged from the supplier with a bit on for postage
Could not believe what i overheard one night the Secretary and a Committee member were working out how much extra to charge the members
Picked my ears up, extra charge was three pounds on top of suppliers price
Does this happen in other Clubs LARDY:confused:

i dont think we have much of a choice as far as clothes and waterproofs are concerned ,the prices are not too bad compared to golf and say hillwalking gear which is very expensive,i think the bowling fraternity are poorly served by the manufacturers, mind you they have their hands tied by the governing bodies eg outdated and drab colours only my opinion, sorry oldie:)

Got to agree with you Wrong Bias the price of golf clothes and equipment is ridiculous high, what i don't understand is you can buy trousers and jumpers in the high stree for a fraction of the cost
But because it says golf or the makers name like Taylors its triple the price Mary:(

Always thought that when you got your Jumpers from the Club you would pay the price paid plus a little bit for postage
Plonking three pounds on top of the price is a bit greedy my last top cost eighteen pounds and you need two of these can work out a lot of money
Don't agree with charging extra Will find out if my Club does this

Bigbear:rolleyes:

Good Subject this, what i don't agree with is this Bowls England we are all going to have to buy new badges,
And if I am right and play for the County all new bowls wear thats everything colored
Going to all up to some amount Sam:(

I am fed up Buying Bowels Clothes when we were all white it was so much easier
Now its Colored for club and League games and have seen i don't know how many people turning up to play in Friendlies in Colored shirts
We get half the team in white the other in something else
Don't half make it confusing Crabbie:(
