Is This Right
Entered a Tournament this year and Managed to get to the Finals, unfortunately the Date clashed with the Club Competitions in which I
had won two rounds,
Had a word and asked if we could play the Club game on another date
And was told no definitely not if you enter you have got to play
So reluctantly got a sub in for the Tournament game
Went up the Club last night and listened in amazement to the Club Captain telling someone they did not need to play on Finals day
(because they were going to a Wedding)
Rules For Some Not For Others does this Happen In every Club:confused::confused:
Hi Firer,
Unfortunately have seen this both indoor & outdoor, is on thing that has caused upsets and caused very good Bowlers to move Clubs!!!
Doesn't solve the problem as often happens at the Club the move to.
A very brave member at our last A.G.M. tabled a resolution that competition rules especially those relating to competition play by dates be strictly adhered to.
Of course it was thrown out because the rule already exists but it did give e the opportunity for a very heated debate.
The result this year is that the committees 'mates' had to keep to the rules.
Hope this helps!

This is a Hot Potato seen it happen so many times
Got the Club competitions they have a strict play by date, and we try so hard to fit them in
Have played games after being on the green all day, when i am really tired and probably lost because of it
Next time you look someone has been given an extension, for whatever reason
Thing is if you try to get an extension, is a definite NO never worth the hassle to try and argue your case,
Yes Its Rules For Some
Hi Sam this must go on in all clubs we've got what we call the inner circle
keep making jokes about who is in the inner inner circle
reckon I am in the outer circle, and always will be Mary:D and who cares

Hi Mary
Get this in every club the people on committee who make the decisions do an awful lot of work, they look at the club as their own property, and bend the rules to suit themselves, not a lot can be done to change this Surfer:cool:
