What do the Top Bowlers in your club bowl with?
I was talking to my Auntie who's a coach at my old bowling culb, about changing my bowls again, yes again.
Well she suggested I see what the top bowlers bowl with at other clubs and see if I can try out their bowls?
I mentioned the person who won the Auckland mens singles bowls with ABT 2000's, but she said one of the top bowlers she knows changed to these and didn't bowl as well?
Anyway what do you think about her idea, that is seeing what the top bowlers bowl with?

by all means try them out ,but be honest with yourself mate, its not the bowls ,its the bowler,i know i went down that path as well,if you have plenty of gold in the chest by all means get a set,but personally i would save my money, told you you can have my tiger 2,s:)

Got a set to Tiger Twos doing the rounds in the Club, This is the third person who has bought them
Not a bad idea will take a bit more notice of what woods the really Good Bowlers are using, have tried everything else Bigbear:D:D

Don't know what to think, have changed woods a few times over the years
And am still bowling rubbish but will have a look next time One of the top Clubs have a game
Got one local Club who win the league every year, do a lot of shouting and (running up the green ) would give it a try but my legs aren't up to it any more Crabie
Going to have a look at my Opponents Woods every time i get beating
Never took much notice before have tried a few sets think you have got
To persevere with what set you have :)Sam:mad:

Tried a few different Sets since i took up the game, tried everything if fact was on the point of giving up, got so fed up with being thrashed
One old timer took me aside and told me its Practice Practice went up every day after that, entered everything and got beaten, but did start to play better now on the way up, got asked to play in a County Game next year firer:D

Hi i practice as much as i can, find playing in friendlies doesn't help my game
Next day i play like a plonker not sure why think the better people you play against your game improves Wicker
Got to admit my game goes to pot when i play friendlies, put it down to concentration hard to get serious in games like these Mary:D

The problem is I play on artificial greens alot and they are not good to one's bowls. :( I did get them re-biased last year, so they will be ok for a few more years, but i was told I couldn't do that again? :(
If I played on grass greens all the time I wouldn't be thinking about new bowls.

Also I do play quite well with my current bowls (Henselite Master's size 4 Heavy) and I agree practice is the key.

Hi Kiwi Bowler
Know you have to get your woods re stamped every ten years but rebiased is that a test to see if they are still running right can you only do this a number of times Blondie:)
Don't think I know anyone who has had this done could think of a few players who have suspect woods Sam
