HI Everyone
I only got back last night after a very very long journey back and I am not going to go away for a long time left sixteen days ago on the good ship Buddica from Portsmouth great boat not very large the staff were wonderful cabin cleaned twice a day food great, entertainment every night only thing everyone were very aged a lot with walking stick or frames and with heavy seas people were falling all over the place if I ever get like this I will stay on dry land,
Casablanca the first stop and then a different place every morning until we got to Madeira to see the fireworks New Years Eve.
Did have a good time but so pleased to get home cant beat England at Christmas,

Not a bowl..........obviously been parked at the local supermarket!.
Great photos, noticed the dent as well, must be a trick of the light:D
Well I would have gone away for 16 days over Christmas, England with the constant gloom and doom over the economy don't think I would have missed it one bit!!!

Hi Everyone and Wrong bias
Kept these pictures just for you thought you might like this one of a ship,
We had three fancy dress nights one was a national dress night it was the only thing I could think of beside wrapping myself in a Union Jack,
Not terrible good pictures I had a great time but I do think it could have been a saga trip they had Single Mingles thats some men who dance with people without partners quite a good Idea we had dance classes every afternoon it got a bit ludicrous with every one swaying around and not being able to stay upright.

Have to agree with Wrong Bias, it's listing to Starboard, that's the ship not you!!!
Often see carpet bowls advertised on ships activities think you might have to send one or two 'Wrong Bias' to stay on the carpet!!
Think those boats would be a bit big for me:p

Think you boys could be right not sure if it was me or the camera that wasn't steady good excuse wouldn't have had anything to do with the gin and tonic we had in our cabin before dinner which was banned by the shipping company,
I was wobbling around a lot but it definitely was the rough seas ??????
Glad you liked my dress spent the night trying to make it longer,
Angel:D;)

I think I would remember your Union Jack dress Angel very eye catching,
The couple who organize our Indoor bowls tour for next year have sorted out the hotel out but there has been a lot of people complaining saying they are not going to go, because its nearly £200 single supplement,
We have a lot of ladies who are widows and not all of them like to share they don't mind paying extra for a single room but it seems the hotels are milking holidaymakers as it was nowhere near this last year,
You would think they would be glad to get large groups of people staying.
Hi Wrongbias
I think you are getting a bit like me not only the memory is going but the eyesight as well,
When I watched the news this week its a good job Angel wasn't on the cruise ship that capsized it looked more like a big hotel four thousand passengers a bit like the Titanic you would never imaging a thing like this could happen.
You can bet your life I wont be going on any cruises I am going to keep my feet firmly on solid ground.

Have to agree with you Samantha, it's put me right off cruise ships!
Especially when on TV here a few weeks back there was a movie about a cruise ship that got hit by a freat wave and.............
I couldent believe what the Captain of this Cruise Ship was saying we heard a taped interview he was talking to the Harbor Master,
And there were hundred of passengers still trying to get off the boat and the Captain and his Second in command were already in a lifeboat,
The Harbor master told the Captain about fifteen times to get back on board and help organize the passenger and direct the evacuation,
I am glad they arrested him I have never been so discusted he was supposed to be in charge.

Hi All, Think it would put most holiday makers off sailing for a while although expect there will be some cheap deals around to fill the ships up, then most passengers will have booked well in
Can't beat a good bowls holiday:eek::cool:
Wouldn't get me on a Cruise Ship if they were giving the Holiday away free not after watching the passengers hanging down the side of the boat waiting to be rescued

Hi Jude,
Have been looking around at holiday deals as yet no bargains around for cruises.
Think cruise ships are booked months ahead so any down turn will be a few months off then something else will be in the headlines.
My friend reckons now is quite a safe time to travel on a ship as they will be extra careful.
On our last cruise holiday the Captain gave a talk one evening, it was excellent telling all about his career/ home life/holidays/ship details etc, can remember him saying, Expect your wondering who's steering the ship!!! Bet he won't be saying that now or giving the usual ship talk, Do think things will change.

Hi Tourist,
Agree with you think the safety aspect of these massive cruise ships will be an issue for years to come.
One mistake from such routine cruises and such a tragedy can occur.
Looks like holidays on the solid ground for me!!
