Spain used to be the place ever Club looked at first when they were organizing their bowls tours but since the euro it seems no one wants to go there,
The tour organizer is looking at Spain for next year we would really appreciate it if anyone who has been on a bowls tour recently could let us know how theirs went and what they thought,

Hi Peter,

Did notice the first post, thought it was my geography at first!!

You are so right the Euro has put paid to the old cheap holidays in Euro land,I think the days are over where a family can afford a couple weeks on the Costas.

Best deals around are the non Euro zones lots of Bowling clubs that take tours abroad are the ones seeking out the best deals.

My club are going to Turkey this year 2 weeks all inclusive with flights etc less than £1100 for 2:wink:, great price and that is all you need to spend with bowling on artificial all laid on with no extra charge!

Hi All,

About a month ago 2 couples who left the club around 8 years ago. Returned to rejoin!!

They said at first Spain around Denia was brilliant cheap relaxed great times, but the heat has warned off, apart from the spiralling cost of living and above all night time security is a night mare. They blame Eastern Europeans violent robberies on ex pats are unsettling communities.

Fortunately they have both sold their homes in Sain which is a bit against the trend, think they had to drop a lot and are now renting near the Club in Surrey!

England can't be that bad!!!
