If we could afford one of these what a machine one of our girls who was up playing at Lemington sent me these pic,
If you seen the aged members of our club struggling with outdated equipment they come up faithfully every week and some of them are no more able to push a mower that the man on the moon but we get the job done,
And then you get some idiot coming along and complaining about the state of the green they should get off their backside and give us a hand,
Fed up Frustrated and sick to death of Bowlers complaining about things when all the do is sit round the bar,

Unfortunately it is a lot easier to harp on about a problem than to do something about it.
Our greenkeeping contractor has one of these and it is a great piece of machinery. They are not cheap though and it helps that he works on a number of greens.

Most of the clubs in the Adelaide area have one of these sit-on rollers. Some of our members are also trained to use it which frees up the greenkeeper for other duties.
Sure beats the 'Dodgems' on Southend pier!.

I have seen our green cutting team use this old fashioned roller that they have to pull manually across the green, I couldn't even move it never mind pull it any distance I do know now that we pay a firm to fertilize and put down weedkiller and it costs six and a half thousand a year,
Which is a lot of money to raise we still have to cut the grass ourselves and last year we had to purchase a mower which was not new but reconditioned because the club couldn't afford a new one,
Machines like these are something our green cutting team can only dream about will find out if they still use their old roller or if the new firm has one.

Can only look at these machines with envy knowing we will never be able to afford one will have to keep on buying the lottery tickets.
