Great Idea Free Membership

I was talking to someone and I noticed they had a lot of new members playing I asked how they managed to get so many because all the Clubs I know are struggling epically getting women to join,
Simple she said we offer everyone a years free membership free coaching and as soon as possible get them playing friendlies,
Its amazing how many become full members next year,

Sounds a great idea!!

Many Clubs are having problems with ageing membership, sounds like things like this can work, just got to get over players being less than welcoming trying to protect their places in the teams.

We have 1 club that if they lose 1 more lady the ladies section will have to close!;)

It's a good idea, I have seen a 2 clubs advertising on Trade Me for $1 get 1 years free membership plus a Club Badge, with a note for first year members only.

Other clubs like mine charge half price for first year bowlers and we make any new members very welcome.

That seems like a very good idea and I may bring it up at our AGM this year.
I have an idea that may bring more members and that is to offer a lower membership for people that work, as they usually only able to play half of the games in a season.

Might suggest this at my club - shame the AGM has passed so it would have to wait until next year.

I think its a great Idea we have one Club Mawnam Smith that is offering reduced joining fees for the first year and they have a number of new members already on the green and playing in friendlies,
Problem is getting something like this voted in at the AGM i think some of our members are like sheep if any resolution is not approved by the powers that be it wont have a chance
Very frustrating have seen it happen time and time again.

joining a bowls Club was the best thing I have ever done I have been out today playing in a friendly we got picked up at eleven O'Clock by coach and had a lovely lunch and then on to play starting at half two, we had a really enjoyable game and ended up with a draw after much shouting,
Then into the Club house for a drink before heading home what more can you want good friends and good company if there is anyone else thinking of giving bowling a try,
