:confused:We are playing the Divisional Knock Out Next week and after looking at the teams selected something stinks

Our Club Captain is a brilliant bowler who this year got to the County finals but has been completely ignored and someone from our club who only

joined last year and I hate to say this is a dreadful bowler if the green is wet or heavy cant get up the green,

This bowler is no spring chicken and plays for the c team its beyond my understanding.

How can selectors make decisions like this and she is in my team I am going to be struggling with short bowls all day.

What goes on in selection meetings is a mystery to most sane people.

It doesn't matter whether its ladies or gents, seniors or juniors - they always seem to be able to surprise people with their selections!:rolleyes:

At my Club, get on the selection Board and get selected, rife in the Ladies, no wonder they never get any where the younger better bowlers leave for progressive Clubs:(

Can well believe it Wooden Wheels and I know you are only joking but when you have to go out and play with bowlers who are rubbish and are only on the team because of who their friends are I feel like pulling out my hair,
I think you need to be at least seventy with a few bandages and be prepared to sit on committees and grovel a lot.
Never going to do that so I made my mind up Sod it.

Angel I do believe I can see a bit of temper coming out but after watching a ladies competition yesterday I can understand why our girls lost by 42 shots overall,
They came back to the Club defeated and in foul tempers and I know when its time to make a quick retreat the tea ladies took a verbal battering because they hadn't made enough sandwiches and were using ham for their personal salads

Women Bowling and Kitchens are BEST AVOIDED WHEN THE LADIES LOSE A GAME

I keep well away from things but i played in a Presidents game today and our rink lost 31- 9 and some clever dick took the score board and placed it in the middle of the rink,
If i ever find out who was responsible what i shall do is unprintable.

It must be an age thing I missed the broad in this post did make a remark recently about the size and width of some of our L Bowlers and am still keeping a low profile its going to be a long time before they forget if ever.

Well what can I say to that one did have a good laugh when I clicked on the link I don't think thats what you had in mind Wrong bias,
Good to see you back had been wondering if you were still out fishing and had forgotten about Bowling also good to see Kiwi bowler,
I am going away for Christmas and New year on a cruise I will send you a few pictures in the new year,
Got a bit of time to go before going away on holiday I and cant wait am really getting fed up with all the nonsense that goes on down the club its like being back at school only with pensioners.

Going to agree with you there Edinburghump cant beat a Cornish Pastie I would rather see someone enjoying their food than looking like a stick insect.
Need a bit of stamina if you play two or three games a day.
