Watched the Devon girls with Natalie Melmore doing their warming up exercises before their game against Cornwall on Tuesday I Don't think a lot of our Lady Bowlers would manage to get themselves into these positions,
But for the Devon girls it was team building
I shall put on some more pic when I get time and also put these on members pictures
Was disappointed Cornwall did not win their Johns Game but well done Cornwall
Great photos Snapper, our ladies sound like the Cornwall team ladies, just about get on the rink.
If you look at national finals it's that inclusion of youth that wins through, it's the exclusion of a lot of working ladies that cause a lot of restrictions!!

Good pictures Snapper, allot of people don't bother about warming up, but as in all sports you should always warm up before playing. Saying that I don't always warm up, but do when I remember too, which isn't that often.
I know you are supposed to warm up it doesn't matter what sport you are playing but I have got to own up and say I don't its straight out of the changing room and onto the green,
Its not surprising us bowlers end up injuring ourselves and wearing bandages:roll:

Must be good to have Bowlers of this age in your Club we get younger boys but girls don't seem interested if they could see someone like young
Natalie Melmore on the green it might persuade them to give Lawn Bowling a try,

Wouldn't mind looking at these girls doing their exercises around the Bowling Green the maids down here in Cornwall are too fond of their to go doing anything like this Pasties :D:p

We get youngsters joining even had a lottery (sport for all) grant, bought woods for them & some equipment stayed for a few years then, school exams, dating etc took priority now we have very few young people interested, trouble is all the work and effort has diminished a lot of enthusiasm!!
Good to see such a young side, we have a few young women but work prevents them from bowling during the week!

Would like to see you doing these exercises in your Wet Suit thats if you can still get into it.

Yea, I like the photos, wish we had some young girls at my club.
In fact I don't think there's any girls or ladies at my club under 60 :(

Oh come on Snapper you know I was only joking about the pasties but they do say warming up exercises are a good idea
Ive got to say i have never seen and of the men doing any sort of exercise before a game I think they need all their energy for the game.

Men tend to have a different kind of warm up in mind - exercising the right arm at the bar!:p

I like a drink as much as anyone, but always after the game.
Anything before, and the line's OK but the weight goes awry.
When Indoors i have seen younger bowlers arrive with packs of beer and consume the lot during a competition if there had been anyone around Umpires of Officials I'm sure they would have been told off,
I don't know how they do it one can of beer and i wouldn't be able to see the jack never mind bowl to it i would spend the whole time giggling.
