Foot And Mouth

Hi, all wet Bowlers,

We've had the RAIN no look, no it's not foot and mouth but apparently this Green has 'white spot', so every time you come on or off the green you go through the disinfectant trays!!!!!! What ever next Sheep dip??

Have you seen anything like this????

Hi wasn't me in the picture, after going through the sheep dip, i was behind the camera,i was waiting for the TV crew and beadles about, to pop up, had visions of being on camera bent over with both feet plonked in the trays.:D:DAngel

What is White Spot????

Think white spot is a virus on the green, don't quote me on this, shall have to ask around,8-)

Never seen anything like this before, been bowling a while, has anyone else got to do this before going on the green.:(

Bit of a farce really, the girls had to climb onto the back of the rink to get their wet gear, some just stepped back onto the green, me being a good girl, had to creep along the back of the rinks, stopping every time some one was going to bowl.and going through the sheep dip again, did wonders for the bowling shoes, wetter than ever, the dip covered half way up the shoes came inside, not sure what it did to the feet,:D wont get white spot now.:D

Haven't seen this procedure in any bowls clubs i have been to, wouldn't like to get it on my feet or anywhere else for that matter, need to ask how toxic this is,:(

:rolleyes:Had another look at the picture, why are they going through the dip, on the way onto the green, if the green has white spot, whatever that is, surly it makes sense to use it when you leave, think the gamekeeper seen the ladies coming, does he make the men do this????

Hi just noticed you have another picture in members photos, of the foot and mouth, ladies look just like sheep lining up to walk through, great pic:D:D

Had a look at the picture, foot and mouth, they do look funny, sorry, has given me a chuckle, haven't seen anything like this, sure there must be a reason, do keep thinking about sheep, sorry again.:p

Don't need to be sorry Jane, should have seen me with my camera, how
i managed to bowl is a miracle,:D hopping in and out of the sheep dip trays, should have been on candid camera, wish someone had a video camera, would have been on TV.Angel:grin::grin:.

Think i would have objected to walking through those trays, bad enough when they spray the green, if it kills things off, on the green what is it doing to you, epically if your shoes are already damp with the rain, three hours is a long time to be in contact with an insecticide:(

You said it Frogett, if they are telling us to wash our hands, and don't lick your fingers, what on earth are they making you walk through chemicals for, leather shoes take in a lot of water,and chemicals.:(
