First Time

Mrs Jackseeker (Pam) and I played our first mixed pairs match last night. We were drawn against a more experienced pair and didn't really expect too much, but in the end we made a game of it, finally losing 22-15:( On the up side the pair we played were a really good laugh and we had a fantastic evening, just what we got into bowls for, and Pam and I are still talking!!:grin:

Nice to welcome you Jackseeker, sounds like a good game, don't mind losing myself if i have enjoyed it, and played a reasonable game, mixed pairs games can be difficult, got to get on well with your partner, half the battle, good luck with the rest of your games.:D Surfer

My wife & I play a lot of mixed bowls together (last 20 years) & we are still married!!!
Unfortunately it is not always the best combination, at our club we often nickname the 'Mr & Mrs Competition, as the Divorced Pairs, I love watching it and the TENSION!!!!!

Good to welcome you to the site, been bowling a few years myself, and played in a lot of competitions, great when you win, but trying is half the fun, get so cross with myself when i play badly.:)

Not many pairs, can come off the green laughing,:roll: know one couple, who keep falling out, gets very entertaining for everyone else, you want the wood where dear, positive she is actually aiming the wood at him, always know you are going to win when she starts grumbling about hubby,

Hi jackseeker. Well done for have a great game of mixed pairs. You are so lucky that your wife enjoys bowls, I have been trying to get my better half to play for a few years now with no luck.
