Indoor Club Leagues

Hi All Indoor Club Bowlers,

Just wondering our club leagues use to start about th October, this year we start our Friday league on Friday 1st then follow on Monday evening the 4th.

This has caused a few problems with team members being on holiday and several teams struggling to get teams out for the first week.

What date does your Club leagues start???
Any info would help as several of us are going to bring it up at the next A.G.M.

Hi Keith I haven't really started looking at dates for indoors but I have got the team sheets here, and my first game is on the 5th October which is a bit frightening there is hardly any time between Outdoor closing and Indoor opening I have also noticed a lot of my team will be away on holiday I am only pleased I don't skip and have the problem of finding reserves, I can see a lot of canceled games this winter.

Hi Keith,

Our league starts in anger on 7th October 6.15pm a Thursday evening, this has been a traditional date as we also have a lot of retired members who take their holidays between the Outdoor & Indoor.

If they brought ours forward there would be uproar as teams would struggle, have heared there are a couple of teams less this year, think its a general problem!!

hope this helps Keith, must be a good reason to bring it forward, a lot of clubs sometimes favour an early start because of the Denny cup, its good practice!!
