What do you do if the marker, moves the jack when measuring, do we play the end again, had this happen today, nobody knew what to do, we stood around for ages, felt really sorry for the marker, it was just an accident, it was only a club competition, does anybody know, what to do if it happens,:(:( again

Not really sure, think the end has to be played again, bit of a bummer, if it was a measure, between two or three woods, need to ask someone who is a qualified marker.:rolleyes:

Got to be someone in your club who is a qualified marker, bit difficult if there is no one there who knows what they are doing, its something everyone who plays bowls should know, unfortunately, I'm one of them, shall ask around, and post reply.

Should think this wouldent happen very often, but still something, that we need to know how to handle, might not be anyone around who knows what to do, the end needs to be played again, no question.

In the World Bowls Laws Book under Section 7 - Movement of the jack.
33.4 Jack displacement during measuring, number 2, it says: If the jack is displaced by the equioment being used by the marker during measuring, the marker should put the the jack back to a position agreed by the opponents. If the opponents cannot agree, the marker should put the jack back to it's former position.

Yes Kiwi Bowler has got it right, asked a chap who is a qualified marker, he said the marker should replace the jack, to where he thinks it was,
