Drakes pride bowls or Taylors and which ones if any, I have Taylor international 5 at momment and finding it quite elusive to get the shot. I have heard Drakes are a better bowl or else jump to Taylors Aces anyone have any thoughts i have tried a smaller size and they look like oranges in my hands

ive got the internationals med 4,and i hate the grip on them,so what i should have done was get a set of aces plain ,no grip maybe a size 3.but i dont like the idea of dropping down a size, its probably what i should have done,, so i ended up going for tiger twos and as i have said before ,ok indoors not so good outdoors, for me any way,,,i really do need to get my pinky cut off (keeps getting in the way) :)
my wife has a new set of blue speckled aces and she likes them, she dropped down a size,,,so im thinking about it .its really affecting my game that i have knocked back a county game and a inter club friendly,:(
drakes pride professional is a popular bowl indoor and out,but where i live taylor is the most popular:cool:

Yes that's a hard one, you need to try out different bowls and find one that suits you best. Then you just need to practise with that bowl.

It is a good question, I have tried several bowls at the end decided it was me.
What I did find the difference coloured bowls made to the drawing line.
Several of my friends have also noticed the difference coloured bowls have to the drawing line.
It's hard to comment for someone else as it is an individual decision.

What position do you play, if its Skip, you need a wood with a good swing, a lot of the newly advertised woods, are pretty straight, you need to get round short woods.;)

Think every Bowler has this dilemma, started playing with Taylors bought them second hand, pretty old had to have them re stamped, changed to Drakes Pride Professional, still not sure think its me not the wood, take a pretty narrow line, don't think i could recommend them, best bet is to borrow a few different sets, and play a some friendlies, before deciding.
