Was visiting a Club and they had the best Idea ever for serving tea on the rinks
They had purchased carriers that workmen use for their tools at very little cost to hold the cups biscuits sugar etc, so easy to carry much better than trays with cups wobbling all over the place, they placed them out on the tables and one person from each rink came and took them out,
Thought I would share this Idea with everyone it would make life a lot easier for us tea ladies,

Hi Jean,

Often the simple ideas work!! like the numbering on the carrier, at my club we still use trays so at 10 ends everyone comes over to the table with no numbering its chaos, especially when for example a black tea is requested!!

What a good Idea I have often had Bowlers coming in complaining they haven't had the Coffee or black tea they asked for,
Some other Chap has drunk it and then we have to run around making more going to show this to our Captain never know they might make some changes problem is if its not their Idea nothing happens.

I Was up in Falmouth last night watching the Falmouth Cup and had been reading your post about the mens tea, thought you might like to see the struggle these ladies had last night with six rinks but at least they had the trays numbered,

Looks a sunny evening!! thats what keeps the bowlers going the last few ends, a cup of TEA!!

Never given it a thought how the tea was transported, the carrier certainly looks safer than a tray, have seen tray or 2 dropped over the years!!:(

Afternoon Snapper someone put their thinking cap on when they came up with this idea, have often had to step in and carry trays out for our more aged Tea Ladies who can no longer carry heavy trays about,
Might be a good Idea to put these pictures on Members Photos as I have been telling my friends about this but they are not that good on the computer and would just like a look.

A good idea!!

At my Club the Men do most of the teas for the league games, they have a stainless steel tea pot (sealed with spring leaver opening), together with a tray with biscuits.

Must be a good idea if the men do it!!:D
